The Prince

While trimming a shrub, I spotted this beautiful tiny frog sitting on a dead leaf wrapped round the stem of the shrub.

In length it is not even than 3cm and only moved when I tried to get too close.

I am not knowledgeable on frogs and toads, but had a look on the net to see if I can become any wiser.

What I found that perhaps most resembled this little prince, was what is called the African dwarf frog. It had no red on its claws or underbelly.

There is a frog disease called red leg disease - I really hope that this little one is not infected with that.

I went outside a minute ago to see if it were still around - still sitting and quietly sleeping.
