Friday 4 April 2014: Hitting the bottle
Today we cycled to and from work. The traffic was unusually busy, but thankfully our route minimises our exposure and we are able to cut though the bottlenecks on the (feeble) bike routes in Basingstoke.
Here are our bottles from the trip, having been emptied. I'm not sure where the small one came from, but the larger one was given to me by a friend who has loads of them. I'm not really a fan of plastic bottles, the water out of them doesn't taste so good and dirt seems to work it's way into every conceivable nook and cranny in the plastic. I also have a Sigg bottle which I much prefer but it don't half rattle on the bike in one of the racks, so I've not been using as much of late.
We went to see our late friend's widow to offer our condolences and help in the evening. To be honest I don't know if it helped - it seemed to upset us even more trying our best to console her...
