Cowgirls

Out to Bandera today (Cowboy capital of the world).

But on the way we stopped at a pretty cool ranch where the girls could do some horse riding. The owner (Mr Bill) was quite a character who told them stories about his family and all the movies they have appeared in.

He's also an avid ostrich and camel racer.

After the ride he was kind enough to show us some of his tricks of the trade.

He was one of those guys that you just know was a total character in his younger years.

We then headed off to Bandera just in time for the sun to come out properly (what luck). I'm certain it reached 90+.

We strolled aimlessly around town speaking to some of the locals, taking in the real life gun toting cowboys, some local delicacies and the oldest honey-tonk in the county (yes it really did have sawdust on the floor).
