Homesick

Tracked down the exact spot where Dylan filmed his iconic video of Subterranean Homesick Blues in April, 1965 - generally acknowledged to be the first music video. It was shot, in a lane behind the Savoy Hotel in London, as part of a documentary about his UK tour that year. I directed J in the taking of this pic of me standing where Dylan stood to discard all those giant lyric cue cards - a kind of remote control selfie. In B&W of course, to capture the mood of the video and the time. All I lack are the cue cards and, of course, his talent!

PS In case you're wondering why I tracked down this location, it's part of my research for the next book.
