Somerset Riviera

Son #1, #2 and I spent a glorious morning on the little known Somerset Riviera.

A glorious walk along the beach (if you can have a beach made of mud) to the lighthouse and back.

We had to slither through a few patches of mud and I had a few visions of the rescue hovercraft having to come to our aid but it was a fantastic, sunny, fresh morning.

Cheesy chips and a cup of tea at England's shortest pier (more of a stub) before a trip to buy a close relative of the Virginia Creeper for that wall.

Even managed to get in a trip to school to ping off a few e-mails, find a few tents, move a few Trangias, etc...

The boys are fascinated by going into school?!

The lighthouse is one of three in Burnham and is much photographed, usually in the golden hour. I've been meaning to get here since I've lived in Bristol (18 years!) but, although I've been close many times, have never made it to this spot. One off the pre-bucket bucket list!
