Knot New Shoes

It was yet another shopping expedition to keep the continually sprouting youth in clothes that fitted him this morning, then a fruitless and abortive attempt to visit the newly opened Battle of Bannockburn Heritage Centre just outside Stirling. Despite arriving just after noon, and after struggling to find a parking space (that's going to be a real problem when the tourist season kicks in proper), we were told that all of the shows/interactive/gaming sessions were booked out for the day (unless we wanted to hang around until 4:45pm). Other than wander around the memorial site and statue there's not a lot else to do there, so we gave up on that one. Benefit of the doubt though, we'll book ahead next time and see if it's worth the pretty steep entrance fee.

Poor Euan. He's had so many velcro/slip-on types of shoes we'd forgotten how oddly he tied his laces. Can't really recall if we were successful teaching him to do this back when he first needed to as, because he's left handed, I think he was kind of left to his own devices. His wee big sis gave him a few extra lessons here today but pretty sure he went straight back to doing it his own way.
