Saturday 12 December 2009: injustice
We don't live far from 'the big smoke' yet we don't go in there very often.
In fact I think we often do it a disservice; its so easy to remember the bad things
The greasy feeling on your skin and scratchy eyes
the crowds on Oxford St
the tube
the stupidly inflated costs of everything
Yet, on a night like this,
with the purple sun setting over the Thames
A christmas market around you
the sound of Big Ben hitting the hour
suddenly it's hard not to notice that this city has as much to offer as anywhere else we have every been
suddenly it's hard to remember why we avoid it in the way we do
