Faster than the speed of ...

...the speed of a blue jay who doesn't want to wait around for more photo ops. I had just captured the BJ posing regally on the fence post, peanut in beak. When I tried for a follow up shot, all I got was this rear view as he lifted off and zoomed away. I decided he deserved blip honors today for the speed of his take off, but he competed for the honor with the greedy Mrs. RBW.

Many thanks to all who helped to put my chickadee (Sunday) and yesterday's blue jay in the spotlight. We were all delighted.
