Profiterole Portraits

The first Friday of every month is Cake Day, when we celebrate everyone who has a birthday in that month by eating a variety of incredible gateaux, but because school was closed for Spring Break last week, April Cake Day was today :) Happy Birthday to everyone who celebrates their birthday this month, which includes my brother and my older nephew.

Gateaux that manage to manifest a vision of weight gain and yet are tasty, light and delicious are a particular speciality of Turkish cuisine and on Cake Day it is always hard to choose which one. Chocco, nutty, fruity all creamy delicious. This eye-catching profiterole cake however, looked just a bit too rich for me today so I had that well known dieters' dish, Red Fruits Cheesecake instead. (T'is well known that fruit in a cake removes all the harmful calories.....) hmmm

It was only after taking the photograph that I realised you can easily see the reflections of us cake-eating teachers in the chocolate sauce !!
