Leaving Inveraray

Taken in a hurry this morning, with a view to Dun na Cuaiche watchtower. Our plan on this trip was to make it to the top, sadly it didn't happen.

Call from #2 late afternoon yesterday to say the electricity was off at home, and both houses beside us were fine. He called our supplier who came within an hour. Problem was the mains cable somewhere in the garden. The team were digging until after 11 pm with floodlights. Low energy spur provided through the letterbox from next door to keep fridge, freezer etc going.

When we heard they had returned at 7 am, and four guys were under the house, we decided we had to get back quickly. Finally found the fault in very old cabling under the ground. Our concern was anything affecting the recent (expensive) landscaping work. Back up and running around 2.30 pm. They've done a good job, just waiting for part of the path to be replaced. The front lawn looks like a couple of burials have just taken place.

Still not feeling at all well. Took the chance of a cancellation at the surgery. Ears are still inflamed and hurting. Antibiotics didn't help. Must be viral, just have to rest. Could take another 2 - 3 weeks. Trying to be a patient patient.
