Canon Aled Edwards

Aethon ni i Eglwys Gadeiriol Llandaf i weld creu o saith Canon newydd. Ro'n ni'n yna achos roedd ein ffrind ni Parch. Aled Edwards un o'r bobl yn y seremoni. Dyn ni'n nabod Aled o'i gwaith mewn Rhwng-ffydd. Dyn ni wedi bod yn seremonïau ordeinio Bwdist a theimlodd y seremoni yn yr Eglwys Gadeiriol yn debyg. Hoffais i'r ffordd dwedodd yr Archesgob "Derbyn yr orchwyl hon sy'n eiddo ti a fi". Roedd e'n nid jyst ordeiniad o berson, roedd e'n ordeiniad o berthynas rhwng Archesgob a Chanon hefyd. Llongyfarchiadau i Aled. Dw i'n siwr bydd e'n bod Canon wych.

We went to Llandaff Cathedral to see the creation of seven new Canons. We were there because our friend Rev. Aled Edwards was one of the people in the ceremony. We know Aled from his work in Interfaith. We've been in Buddhist ordination ceremonies and the ceremony at the Cathedral felt similar. I liked the way the Archbishop said "Accept this charge which is both mine and yours". It was not just the ordination of a person, it was also the ordination of a relationship between Archbishop and Canon. Congratulations to Aled. I'm sure he'll be a wonderful Canon.
