BlipaEwan 24...

This is my monthly track of my children as they grow to see how they change as time goes by. I try to get them on the same date of each month (the one year ago thumbnail has proved a brilliant tool for this series) and in the same pose so that I can see how they change over time.

Ewan is sick just now. Not that you could tell at this precise moment as he is high as a kite, running round the house. The first half of the day was spent in the Mummy clutches with what looks like a particularly bad cold. Hopefully it doesn't turn into anything too sinister as it usually does in his sister.

The potty has been introduced this month. Nowt happening on that front except I need to keep finding him reasons to stay put for at least 2 minutes whilst we practice.

Ewan's talking is coming on a fair bit now. He still can't really form words correctly but he is getting close to a lot and has a few stashed away that we've never heard before. Tonight he came out 'ladder' when I was getting the ladder out. The ladder doesn't come out all that often but he put word to object.

He has picked up a thing from Bethany. Actually, he picks up all sorts of things from Bethany which can be a blessing and a curse but the most significant is the "Na na na naaah naaaaaaaah". He's been saying it all the time recently.

He seems to have developed a not so satisfactory bedtime routine of late. The routine I set down is Story, Song, Sleep. The 3 S's. This starts at 1930 aiming for a 2000 sleep. Two bars into the song and Bethany is gone to the land of nod. Ewan on the other hand has started to come alive at this point and is rolling on his head, climbing the bed, really anything to avoid closing his eyes and settling down.

The other significant thing that I don't think I've mentioned is "Yellow". Every colour is yellow. "What colour is that brick Ewan?", "Yellow." "What colour is the sky Ewan?" "Yellow!". He can say the other colours but his initial answer always seems to be yellow.

Oh, almost forgot. He is sporting his jammies that his Grannie made him. She made plain blue ones on which I helped him paint the design. I call it a Jackson Pollock number 1.865. Best appreciated in BIGGIFICATION MODE.
