Submerged

“Even a soul submerged in sleep
is hard at work and helps
make something of the world.”

― Heraclitus, Fragments

A traveling day today. Drove back to Connecticut from Boston, with a stop off at Sally's oncologist for more chemo treatment. Then a quick visit with our darling grandson Elliott, who was peacefully sleeping when we arrived, but quickly awoke and cried for the rest of our time there. Poor little guy had been to the pediatrician this morning, and had jabs in both pudgy little legs! They were red and swollen, and clearly bothering him. Off to Vermont tomorrow to see youngest son Evan and his wife Chelsea, who are busy building our next grandchild -- a girl! -- due to be unveiled in early September!
