the Morning after the storm

Denver Botanic Gardens Rock Alpine Garden the morning after a mid spring snowstorm. It was cold last night 18 F (-8C) and most of the flowering trees and shrubs seems to be ruined for now.

Snow covered the herbaceous material so it fared much better.
