The Edge of the Wold

Out of the woods

Another glorious morning walking Gus over the Knott. We weren't quite in time for the dawn, but we did see a touch of frost.

It was so warn today, I could almost see the plants growing and the flowers opening. It does seem to be an outstanding blossom Spring, the blackthorn, damsons and cherries are heavy with flowers. On the Kent I saw my first common sandpiper of the season, preceded by the electric flash of a kingfisher.

In the evening, we walked Gus along the estuary to the music of curlews. Gus met lots of admirers who wanted to take him home, but he wouldn't be parted from Wifie - phew.
