Walking back to my hotel in Stornoway this evening after a very productive day of meetings with the social work and social care work force as well as with local senior educationalists I suddenly noticed this on the skyline - the Lewis War Memorial, .

Lit up and glimpsed through trees at night it is a stunning and emotive sight.
