Closed flower

My lithops flowers closed up again overnight, and are only just beginning to open again now. So today my image is of the bud, a little ragged now, but it will open and shut daily for a number of days. In the wild the flowers close every night when there are no pollinators about to protect the delicate reproductive structures from damage due to low temperatures, wind and dew.

Late yesterday afternoon this was what this 'bud' looked like.
