Bigger bridge

Although I've visited Manchester a few times, this was my first time in Salford Quays. I had a most agreeable time in the company of my guide Ellisroger who, in between coercing me to visit a number of inviting hostelries, forced me to partake in various cultural activities.

In the evening, we trotted along to the Etihad Stadium to watch Manchester City labouring to achieve a 2-2 draw against bottom club Sunderland. It made a pleasant change from watching the real Sky Blues (& Shrewsbury) labouring to achieve narrow defeats.

As Wallace would say "It was a grand day out Gromit!"
