Samuel Taylor Coleridge

Visited the poets abode in Nether Stowey in deepest Somerset. What a lovely place. A grant was provided a few years ago and the National Trust decided to get the cottage back to how it could have been in Coleridge's day. This was made possible because he left an inventory of things he had brought to the cottage. Even better was the fact that everything could be held or handled apart from that behind glass. The blip, behind is of a writing station which Coleridge owned. It is beautifully made and great to think that he used this to write some wonderful poetry. Well worth a visit, although Easter week was not best to visit traffic wise. The volunteers were brilliant.
