It's been a very busy day here.....and we're not used to 'busy' as a daily diet, at this time of year anyway....we get used to it come July!

Because the condition of our road and driveway, and the fact that all 3 cabins are booked...and Randy was bringing up clay....it was a bit of a crazy time, organizing, shuttling folks up and down the driveway and road....and the to top it all....one of the guests got stuck behind some other person who was stuck in a muddy rut and had to be rescued! All this on top of cleaning cabins, making pots....and Terry (bless his heart) made a double batch of oatcakes cos i'm going to a Dragon Boat fundraiser tomorrow and he offered (a week ago!) to make oatcakes! so, here we are at 9.45pm...getting ready to sit down to dinner....all of us rather exhausted.

But i was struck, as i walked back from the studio a few moment ago (having gone over to cover pots made today!) by that amazing sense of HOME! and LOVE...and FAMILY....and another blipper Kendall posed an interesting question about love, found and embraced in later life! I have the most amazing love here.....my new (over 5 years now) home is full of happiness and gratitude!

I am also dealing with a heart wrenching situation....my brother-in-law,
Chris, who lives in Vancouver, suffered a heart attack a couple of days ago....so we are all on tender hooks as he goes thro this horrendous event in his life. my 25 year old daughter, Morgan, is the next of kin out there and is handling the situation so well and bravely! This isn't something a 25 year old should have to be dealing with...but it is a life experience that will impact her in ways she,or i, can ever imagine Again, i am so grateful for the life i have and i am profoundly aware of it's fragility!

Supper is finally ready!
