'tis that time of year

when we avoid going to town on Saturday! The Saturday market started last weekend, and it's next to impossible to find a parking spot anywhere (unless you're a local and know some of the secret places - and even then it's a challenge). We decided to go up for breakfast today though, and it was kind of fun to take in some of the atmosphere. There are often buskers like this violinist and other young entrepeneurs entertaining the crowds and selling their wares - homemade jewellery and treats usually. The Ruwandzano Marimba Band often plays in the park, and I loved the exuberance of this young girl who was twirling wildly to the music. Terrible photo, but you get the idea!
This will likely be the only time I'll go until we have visitors who want to take in the sights.
