Saturday 19 December 2009: Heceta Head Lighthouse
We have lived here since 1992. Tonight was the first time we have been to the lighthouse that it was open for tours. I got to go up with one tour guide and learned a lot about the lighthouse. This shot is the 1000 watt light that can be seen from 21 miles out to sea. It was a long climb up a spiral staircase, but very informative.
