Ruru

Dont be fooled by the appearance , this magnificent bird is in the aviary on our deck. It arrived yesterday and will be here for a few days to gather strength before being released. Looks in pretty good shape so really not expecting to see him go downhill. But as we know , you can get the unexpected far too easily with birds.
I on the other hand wanted to get a portrait image , so this is that and not a wildlife shot.
