One Street

A slight detour on the way home brought me to Keckwick Lane bridge on the Bridgewater canal. As I had taken a photograph from this spot the other week I decided to walk to the next bridge just a couple of hundred yards further along the towpath.

You cannot drive over the next bridge as it is on private land. It is named the George Gleaves bridge. I have not been able to find out who George was and why he should have a bridge named after him.

In the end I have opted for this shot from Keckwick Lane bridge. Some shots here of both sides of the George Gleaves bridge.
