Stately as two galleons....

....was my first thought when I saw these two progressing slowly up the Water of Leith, side by side.

When I first saw them they were so close together that their sides must have been touching - but by the time I'd got the camera out they'd diverged, probably distracted from love's young dream by the thought that the human might be getting something edible out of her bag.
