Something is Brewing

Chicks Road Trip - Day 5. Our final day.

day one
day two
day three
day four

I'm home now, arriving in time for a bowl of piping hot brocolli & cauli soup made by Doug this afternoon.

A big day which started with some photography of an old sod cottage, rows of mail boxes, an apple orchard, then vineyard - all of that before we even set off for home.

We seemed to be in front of this storm for most of the way home, but at times it caught us up. I loved this one, the BIG sky was very threatening and enjoyed the light on the hay shed and bales. The colour is sepia tone, set in camera (what we learnt on a photo safari on Tuesday).

We had intended coming home through Danseys Pass, but the road was closed (not sure why). We had to turn back, make a decision as to which alternative way to get home. Pig Route was the decision made and a very pleasant drive through it was.

We had various photography stops on the trip home, lunch at Omakau, cup of tea at Palmerston, then drove the coast road to Oamaru, back on the Main Rd to home.

A magnificent 5 days, spent with wonderful company katey and chrissybelle, much learnt on our 3 to 1 workshop/safari with Mike Langford, sharing ideas, trying new things and learning from each other. There was no need for any retail therapy!!

Anzac day today, one to remember those that gave their lives for their country and a day to for extra memories of my Dad.
