Malta Day 14: Kestrel, saved!

This was a kestrel that Nimrod and I recovered from the cliffs near Ghar Lapsi. It was still active when we reached it, flapping around and whilst obviously injured and distressed it was quite lively. I was on my way to the airport to leave, but we diverted to get the bird. After getting it to the office the initial assessment is that it will be able to be rehabilitated. :-)
This will have to be a backblip, I'm on the world's slowest airport wifi, but that's OK, it's still great to leave on a high!

edit: Nik just sent me a message "It had to be euthanized . Shot at joint as well had internal pellets, sorry."
