Mud Flats

The estuary at Durrus hosts many bird species, the mud at low tide used to really smell as raw sewage from Durrus went into the water, now the village has a sewage plant and any odour is from decomposing plant material. I drive past the area every day when I'm working and often get distracted and have to stop and take a look, today a lone Canada Goose ( speck on the middle left ) caught my eye and the fresh new growth of leaves on the trees on the far bank.
An enjoyable morning in Bantry market, buying a few treats from the food stalls and enjoying stimulating conversation with friends over coffee!
