Barbapapa Dome

When I was little I loved these books which featured characters called "Barbapapas" - they were kind of like "Schmoos" in that they were big blobs that could change form. They used this to their advantage when constructing houses as they could plaster around each other and then squeeze themselves out the door after the plaster had dried, leaving cool dome rooms behind.

I've always wanted to live in or at least stay in this kind of house...and I finally did! This is one of the dome structures at Harbin Hot Springs in Middletown, CT, where we stayed the other night after riding at Boggs Mountain. It was as cool as I had hoped!!
