Caution! Allligators, No Swimming

walked the dirt road to the slough where there are always alligators, especially during dry season, when there isn't much water anywhere else. There are big drainage pipes under this part of the road, with water on both sides. We had seen this gator quite near the bank on the right side, and then we walked a little distance away, taking photos. I looked back once and saw it paused near the road. A minute later we caught it walking across to the other side. We had just been joking wether they really needed that sign there, as the alligators are very obviously present- in the water and sunning on the far bank...
