Dunnydeer

A couple of fellow walkers and I went out today on a reccy for the next walk on our programme which is in a couple of weeks time. I am the nominated leader, having suggested this walk in the first place. It's a circular walk in and around the lovely village of Insch, where I had the pleasure of working last year. The walk includes Dunnydeer hill, with its hill fort and 13th century castle ruins. I've seen these from afar many times as it's quite an Insch landmark, but I've never climbed it and experienced the fabulous 360 degree views from the top. Absolutely stunning, especially on such a glorious spring day! Let's hope we get similar weather on the fourteenth.
