Saturday 26 December 2009: Bass Rock
I always think "Bass Rock" sounds much more "Rock'n'Roll" than it really is! We had a lovely view of it this afternoon from the Fife coast. Looking over a snowy field and the blue Forth, the low sun looked yellow in the thin mist. Through it we could just make out Bass Rock and the landscape on the far side.
Today we once again indulged in a lovely breakfast at Balbirnie before heading up to see my parents and my brother. We had a lovely time, a great cold turkey dinner, and a second round of presents to exchange. More great gifts from my thoughtful family.
I've just driven back on snowy roads through fog, rain, sleet and snow, so I'mn off for a wee chill out before bed.
