Sunday special

My morning has been filled with spring. The first sight from the kitchen window this morning ... not one but TWO male hummingbirds. In full battle dress both zooming about, staking out their summer territories and our three waiting feeders. They were followed by Hazel Diana the lone wild turkey, a male Baltimore Oriole and an elusive catbird. By that time I was crying, all but Jenny Wren back for another season. AND all under the watchful eye of Nelson.

For the Record,
This day came in with glorious blue skies to welcome all our returning summer flock of fur and feather. The blue turned to gray, but gray is good, it reminds me of the catbirds now hunting for a nesting spot. It's amazing how small beating hearts and wings can make my heart flutter.

All hands healthy
