Fledged, Still Flanged

My long-tailed tits have fledged. :)

The first I knew about it was when one of the fledgelings bumbled into the garden and landed on the grape vine. We've had frost overnight recently and the young shoots have been turned brown. Not very photogenic.

I went to where their nest is and one was sitting just outside calling. I could hear others tweeting from various positions. I know that they are communicating with their parents but it does betray their positions to predators.

The one in my pic is vocalising vigourously. It still has the bright yellow gape and beak flanges that acted as a stimulant to its parents to feed it when it was in the nest.
