Heading Between the Lines

A pair of dabchicks (Tachybaptus ruficollis) that were on Cullaloe reservoir this afternoon. Overcast, threatening to rain, but almost dead calm.

No butterflies, interesting birds or unusual plants to photographs so I give you this pair that were being territorially protective and seeing off a lone rival.
