Loch Avon

Interesting day out on the hills with some friends. Walked across from the Ciste car park up and over into Strath Nethy before heading up Bynack Beag and then down to the Saddle above Loch Avon and then back over Cairngorm to the car park. There were interesting Tors on the hills and also a lot of Ptarmigan now paired up and in their summer plumage sitting on the rocks. Finished off in a snow shower on Cairngorm where there is still a lot of snow especially in the fun park. Ended the day with tea and the most lovely fruit cake in Glenmore Lodge where a friend works.
