Looking out towards Cramond Island

After dropping dear daughter at a friend's this afternoon, I took the opportunity to nip down to Lauriston Castle grounds to see what was developing with the cherry blossom there. It was in bloom, but none of the images I captured pleased me as much as this one. The River Forth and Cramond Island in view through the gate, with Fife beyond.
