A PLACE to CALL HOME

I stopped to check out the flowers starting to bloom,
At the top of a many-armed Saguaro cactus.

A flicker of wings caught my attention.
A Gila Woodpecker, mouth filled with supper,
Entered the next.

Gila (hee-lah)
Saguaro (suh-wah-ro)
