hang out

I moved on to Milan this morning. An entirely uneventful, and very speedy, train trip - even in Business Class where my kind hosts had put me. New city; new hotel room.

The taxi driver got very frustrated bringing me from the station - he kept being stopped by organised bike rides - thousands of ordinary commuters, not your lycra beasts. He had to do several detours to avoid them.

After working for a while, I set off for a walk into the city. The duomo is impressive - as I expected it would be. But my choice for today's blip is taken out of the hotel window - a man pegging out his washing (or taking it in, perhaps) as the low evening sunlight hits the wall across the road from the hotel.
