First Rose

From yesterday's Ring o' Roses to a garden rose today. While searching desperately for something to blip in the dull light I spotted this rose, the first one to appear so far this summer in our garden. This seems very early but I read in the paper today that we have just had the equal third warmest April since records began.

The colour brightened up a dull afternoon.
