Homework...

Ewan has some more of that homework that is slightly implied by it's nature to be a family affair rather than just letting him get on with it alone. He is to make a working musical instrument.

I had couple of ideas, ranging from a piece of wood to twang on the edge of a desk to a fully working guitar/ukelele. We settled on a wee rhythm box thingy. I did all the sawing and measuring but he did most of the hammering and all of the decorating. Essentially it's a sound box with some pins on the front to attach elastic bands.

With the Aussie Rellies across, and a party going on, we also made what was coined a Lager Phone. Beer bottle tops nailed to a stick. Again, I did the heavy lifting/cutting, he did the nailing and decorating.
