Sluice

The run off from the old reservoir above the West Bay in Dunoon can get very frisky when it's been raining on the hills above. The glassy water suddenly drops and turns to bright silver beads before it runs down the chute and plummets off in a man made waterfall down to the Balgie Burn below. The swans, just to the left of this shot, have thankfully made their nest high enough out of the water to be safe even with the swollen water levels...
