May Daily Challenge - MayA

Day 5 of AnnieMay and MollyMay's May challenge - MayA

Maya, a term found in Pali and Sanskrit literature, has multiple meanings and can be translated to mean something of an "illusion" (or more accurately a "delusion") (Thanks Wikipedia)

The internet has become something of a god to many people, somewhere to go for information, knowledge and advice. All-seeing, all-knowing, all-powerful it may appear, but as the source of that information is just another human being, it is not the absolute truth, flawless and infallible, even though many seem to think it is.

Having information does not mean that you can use the information, and does not give you wisdom. Thinking that is does is an illusion, you are deluding yourself (and possibly others). Knowing that a tomato is a fruit is knowledge, not putting one in a fruit salad is wisdom.
