A Load of Cobbles.

We decided this morning to go to Clovelly, which is only about 5 miles from where we are staying. The weather was wonderful when we left, but as we got closer a sea mist came in and we could barely see. You can see the mist at the top of the photo. We pulled into the car park which is free, and decided to give it a go. We then had to pay £6.75 each to walk down to the village. The walk down is extremely steep and the road is all cobble stones. We stopped half way down, and went into a little cafe and had coffee and sandwiches which cost £14.25. We sat outside and enjoyed the view. The mist was clearing slightly. When we eventually got to the bottom we walked around the quay, which is where i took this blip. I then thought that an ice-cream would go down really well, and as we walked past the pub someone said, hello there. I turned around and was amazed to see my hairdresser Jan ,with two of her friends who are staying in Bude. We sat down and had a drink with them and then decided to walk back up. We could have had a lift back in a Land Rover for £2.50 each but we thought the walk would do us good, and work off some of the cream teas. It was some work out i can tell you. We decided that tonight we would have a barbeque, as the weather was so warm. It was lovely sitting in the sunshine with views over to Exmoor. In the field at the back of our property, we have three Shetland ponies. They are called Tommy, Nelson and Naomi. Must be viewed LARGE. I can't believe tomorrow is our last day. .
