Drone

This is a Quad Copter drone owned by a friend. A $1200 electric helicopter with a video camera capable of climbing to about 1000 feet, with an estimated flying time of about 20 minutes on a freshly charged battery. Total size is about 18 inches in diameter, and 10 inches tall.

During flight, the remote pilot on the ground, sees everything seen by the on board video camera by using an I Phone or Android phone application.

The copter has a very sophisticated GPS system which allows it to hover in place if the operator releases control. The GPS is also able to return the copter to the original point of takeoff and land itself automatically in the case of loss of radio communication.

My friend plans on using his to shoot real estate videos and weddings.
