Vladimir Lenin

A statue in the woods, outside of the compound.

We needed a pass/permit to "escape" from the compound which contains the "holiday village" we are working in.

We passed through a secure housing estate on the way from the airport. The driver took back roads to avoid the massive traffic jams. There were what appeared to be plain clothed militia guarding the place.
They stopped our taxi and thoroughly checked the driver's credentials.

Here there are lots of security guards in hi-viz roaming about.

They took our passes off us as we went out of the main gate.
I hoped we didn't need them to get back in.

We wandered a few tracks in the woods and found Lenin.

Fortunately the guards let us back in so we didn't need to tunnel or climb over the fence.

Hopefully get to go to Red Square and St Basil's tomorrow before flying home.
