THE PERFECT DAY FOR A BEACH WALK

and that is what Piet Hein and I did in the morning. We left Kijkduin behind us, cycled till the beach was more of less empty. We entered the Zandmotor, spotted the cormorants and gulls standing on a peninsula. Suddenly they were all chased by a dog and swarmed at the other side of the laguna.
When we walked there, keeping our distance both Piet Hein and I took pictures of the birds standing at the shore.
Then we walked over the 'desert' towards the real sea and followed the surf to the south.
At a nice cafe on the beach we sat and drank coffee with an 'appelvloertje' (new to me).
On our way back Piet Hein could not resist to take a dive in the water, 12 o C.
This was a wonderful day out, and after that we simply sat on our balcony, could even eat outside.

The jellyfish so
Many in the sand a poor
Ending of their life

Maak daar de zotten bang mee.

Translation: Try to frighten the fools with that.
