Stormy Frejus

The first thing we noticed this morning was that it was raining, yes that's right, South of France, raining! The next thing we noticed was that we had no water. That's a nuisance. Fortunately I had a few litres of water in a container in the van so we were able to have a cup of tea.

Our plan today was to get out and get some supplies and be back for a telephone man who was coming between 1 and 6. It was quite nice to see the van draw up at about 10 so it was quite good to get that sorted and out of the way so we suit ourselves for the rest of the day. Good job we hadn't gone out early (fat chance - us!). The water came back on as he left.

Lady Marian's doing some painting in one of the bedrooms. She likes doing that sort of thing and it's something she can do for Pip and Bruno. We decided we'd go out in the afternoon so she got on with that.

We drove to Frejus where there's a big Carrefour and afterwards went down to the beach. It had stopped raining but it wasn't exactly sunny as you can see so we had the beach to ourselves. We didn't stay long though!

Hmm, those of you in the UK have probably had better weather. Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

David
