The Rogano

This is a picture of Exchange Place which leads up to Royal Exchange Square. On the right hand side is one of Glasgow's famous restaurants currently celebrating its 75th anniversary.

The restaurant which is in an art deco building is famous for its fine dining and for its oysters and champagne.

It is also noted for all the famous celebrities who have visited it over the years, most of whom have sat at the Table 16. Table 16 is strategically placed where the diner can see everything that is going on but can't easily be seen themselves thereby offering a degree of privacy.

Famous faces at Table 16, include a selection of footballers, senior politicians, and football managers (like Sir Alex Ferguson). Photographer Harry Benson is said to be a regular when in town. And from the world of music Frank Sinatra, Mick Jagger, Rod Stewart. Rod is another one who apparently never fails to visit when he is in town.

But you can't book table 16, not even if you say you know me! So unless you happen to be Rod or Sir Mick or an A list celebrity don?t even think about it. There are lots of other nice tables.
