Tuesday 10 July 2007: A mailing from my past
My New Zealand Climber arrived today - the magazine of the NZ Alpine Club, a relic of the three years I spent in New Zealand a few years ago.
I am still a member of the club - partly for nostalgic reasons, but largely to get this magazine, which, considering the small size of the organisation, is superbly produced with some excellent photography.
I still recognise some of the people who feature in it, write or shoot for it, and it always makes me want to go back and climb a few snowy hills.
